staging/speakup: Add inflection synth parameter
The inflection parameter, i.e. the pitch range, allows to change the
expressiveness of the synthesized voice. This is supported by the DEC
talk synths, and software synthesizers such as espeak/espeak-ng.

Since 4.9 mandated USB buffers be heap allocated this causes the driver
to fail.
Since there is a wide range of buffer sizes use kmemdup to create
allocated buffer.
So, the same result can be achieved using the arrays directly.

staging: qlge: Remove print statements for lbq_clean_idx and lbq_free_cnt
Remove debug print statements referring to non-existent fields
'lbq_clean_idx' and 'lbq_free_cnt' in the 'rx_ring' struct, which causes
a compilation failure when QL_DEV_DUMP is set.
These fields were initially removed as a part of commit
aec626d2092f
("staging: qlge: Update buffer queue prod index despite oom") in 2019.
Their replacement fields ('next_to_use' and 'next_to_clean') are already
being printed, so this patch does not add new debug statements for them.

staging: qlge: Remove print statement for vlgrp field
Remove statement that tries to print the non-existent 'vlgrp' field
in the 'ql_adapter' struct, which causes a compilation failure when
QL_DEV_DUMP is set.
vlgrp seems to have been removed from ql_adapter as a part of
commit
18c49b91777c ("qlge: do vlan cleanup") in 2011.
vlgrp might be replaced by the 'active_vlans' array introduced in the
aforementioned commit. But I'm not sure if printing all 64 values of
that array would help with debugging this driver, so I'm leaving it
out of the debug code in this patch.

Check the return value of vnt_control_out_* function calls. When
necessary modify the function prototype to be able to return the new
checked error code.
It's safe to modify all the function prototypes without fix the call
because the only change is the return value from void to int. If before
the call didn't check the return value, now neither.

The device raises error indications when it thinks there is a bug in the
driver and it can't recover it (while it raises exception when a bug is
detected in the device).
The current list of of errors was a bit dated.
This patch cleans up the list of errors and the associated message. It
is also the right time to clean up the way the error indications are
handled. Replace the switch..case with a clean loop over an array.

staging: wfx: fix display of exception indication
Until now, the exception received from the chip was only displayed if
driver was compiled with DEBUG enabled. It was not very convenient to
help users. We prefer to show the exception unconditionally.
In add, this patch provides the semantic of the first bytes of the
struct.

staging: wfx: show counters of all interfaces
The device keep up to date three series of stats. One for each
virtual interface and one for the whole device.
Until to now, the stats for the whole device were unavailable. Moreover,
it is interesting to retrieve counters for all interfaces even if they
are not awake.
Change the counters available in debugfs in order to retrieve stats
from all interfaces.

In some circumstances, Tx traffic is sent without associated station but
the station exists when the Tx status is received. Beside that, the
driver keep a counter associated to each station. So, in this case, the
counter is not incremented, but is decremented. In this case a warning

staging: wfx: fix overflow in frame counters
It has been reported that trying to send small packets of data could
produce a "inconsistent notification" warning.
It seems that in some circumstances, the number of frame queued in the
driver could greatly increase and exceed UCHAR_MAX. So the field
"buffered" from struct sta_priv can overflow.
Just increase the size of "bueffered" to fix the problem.

staging: wfx: add an explicit warning when chip detect too high temperature
Device is able to measure its temperature and raise warning when this
one is too high. If the the temperature is even higher, the chipis also
able to send an error just before to stop responding.
Until now, the error message was "asynchronous error: unknown (6)".

Device is able to detect a high temperature. In this case, the traffic
is not allowed to be sent until the temperature decrease.
This patch detects the warnings raised by the device and stop the
traffic accordingly. It also add a delayed task as safeguard in case the
chip would never send the indication that the temperature decrease.

staging: wfx: fix CAB sent at the wrong time
wfx_suspend_resume_mc() is called when the device is about to sent a
DTIM. This is the right moment to enqueue Content After DTIM Beacon
(CAB).
However, wfx_suspend_resume_mc() is also called when the DTIM period
ends. Until now, this event did also trig CAB.
Note this issue did not have too much impact since when a CAB is sent
outside of DTIM window, an error is reported by the firmware and
mac80211 retries to send the data.

staging: wfx: fix support for AP that do not support PS-Poll
When multiple virtual interfaces (on different channels) are in use, the
device ask to activate Power Save on station interfaces. The device
developers recommends to use legacy PS-Poll in this case since it is the
mode that disturb the less the other interface. However, some AP start
to not answer anymore to PS-Poll. The device is able to detect this case
and return a special warning in this case.
So, this commit catch the warning and force usage of FastPS in this
case.
In order to confuse the less possible the other interface a small FastPS
period is used (30ms).

The device does not expect that the AP to have a link-id. However, TDLS
peers should have a a link-id.
The driver does not yet declare itself as supporting TDLS.
Notwithstanding, fix the code in anticipation of the support of TDLS.

firmware_loader: revert removal of the fw_fallback_config export
Christoph's patch removed two unsused exported symbols, however, one
symbol is used by the firmware_loader itself. If CONFIG_FW_LOADER=m so
the firmware_loader is modular but CONFIG_FW_LOADER_USER_HELPER=y we fail
the build at mostpost.
ERROR: modpost: "fw_fallback_config" [drivers/base/firmware_loader/firmware_class.ko] undefined!
This happens because the variable fw_fallback_config is built into the
kernel if CONFIG_FW_LOADER_USER_HELPER=y always, so we need to grant
access to the firmware loader module by exporting it.
Revert only one hunk from his patch.

selftests/bpf: Fix a couple of broken test_btf cases

51c39bb1d5d1 ("bpf: Introduce function-by-function verification")
introduced function linkage flag and changed the error message from
"vlen != 0" to "Invalid func linkage" and broke some fake BPF programs.
Adjust the test accordingly.

tools/runqslower: Ensure own vmlinux.h is picked up first
Reorder include paths to ensure that runqslower sources are picking up
vmlinux.h, generated by runqslower's own Makefile. When runqslower is built
from selftests/bpf, due to current -I$(BPF_INCLUDE) -I$(OUTPUT) ordering, it
might pick up not-yet-complete vmlinux.h, generated by selftests Makefile,
which could lead to compilation errors like [0]. So ensure that -I$(OUTPUT)
goes first and rely on runqslower's Makefile own dependency chain to ensure
vmlinux.h is properly completed before source code relying on it is compiled.

bpf: Propagate expected_attach_type when verifying freplace programs
For some program types, the verifier relies on the expected_attach_type of
the program being verified in the verification process. However, for
freplace programs, the attach type was not propagated along with the
verifier ops, so the expected_attach_type would always be zero for freplace
programs.
This in turn caused the verifier to sometimes make the wrong call for
freplace programs. For all existing uses of expected_attach_type for this
purpose, the result of this was only false negatives (i.e., freplace
functions would be rejected by the verifier even though they were valid
programs for the target they were replacing). However, should a false
positive be introduced, this can lead to out-of-bounds accesses and/or
crashes.
The fix introduced in this patch is to propagate the expected_attach_type
to the freplace program during verification, and reset it after that is
done.

bpf, x86_32: Fix clobbering of dst for BPF_JSET
The current JIT clobbers the destination register for BPF_JSET BPF_X
and BPF_K by using "and" and "or" instructions. This is fine when the
destination register is a temporary loaded from a register stored on
the stack but not otherwise.
This patch fixes the problem (for both BPF_K and BPF_X) by always loading
the destination register into temporaries since BPF_JSET should not
modify the destination register.
This bug may not be currently triggerable as BPF_REG_AX is the only
register not stored on the stack and the verifier uses it in a limited
way.

bpf, x86_32: Fix incorrect encoding in BPF_LDX zero-extension
The current JIT uses the following sequence to zero-extend into the
upper 32 bits of the destination register for BPF_LDX BPF_{B,H,W},
when the destination register is not on the stack:
EMIT3(0xC7, add_1reg(0xC0, dst_hi), 0);
The problem is that C7 /0 encodes a MOV instruction that requires a 4-byte
immediate; the current code emits only 1 byte of the immediate. This
means that the first 3 bytes of the next instruction will be treated as
the rest of the immediate, breaking the stream of instructions.
This patch fixes the problem by instead emitting "xor dst_hi,dst_hi"
to clear the upper 32 bits. This fixes the problem and is more efficient
than using MOV to load a zero immediate.
This bug may not be currently triggerable as BPF_REG_AX is the only
register not stored on the stack and the verifier uses it in a limited
way, and the verifier implements a zero-extension optimization. But the
JIT should avoid emitting incorrect encodings regardless.

macsec: avoid to set wrong mtu
When a macsec interface is created, the mtu is calculated with the lower
interface's mtu value.
If the mtu of lower interface is lower than the length, which is needed
by macsec interface, macsec's mtu value will be overflowed.
So, if the lower interface's mtu is too low, macsec interface's mtu
should be set to 0.

dt-bindings: phy: qcom-qusb2: Fix defaults
The defaults listed in the bindings don't match what the code is
actually doing. Presumably existing users care more about keeping
existing behavior the same, so change the bindings to match the code
in Linux.
The "qcom,preemphasis-level" default has been wrong for quite a long
time (May 2018). The other two were recently added.
As some evidence that these values are wrong, this is from the Linux
driver:
- qcom,preemphasis-level: sets "PORT_TUNE1", lower 2 bits. Driver
programs PORT_TUNE1 to 0x30 by default and (0x30 & 0x3) = 0.
- qcom,bias-ctrl-value: sets "PLL_BIAS_CONTROL_2", lower 6 bits.
Driver programs PLL_BIAS_CONTROL_2 to 0x20 by default and (0x20 &
0x3f) = 0x20 = 32.
- qcom,hsdisc-trim-value: sets "PORT_TUNE2", lower 2 bits. Driver
programs PORT_TUNE2 to 0x29 by default and (0x29 & 0x3) = 1.

dt-bindings: Fix erroneous 'additionalProperties'
There's several cases of json-schema 'additionalProperties' at the wrong
indentation level which has the effect of making them DT properties. This
is harmless, but let's fix them so a meta-schema check for this can be
added.
In all the cases, either the 'additionalProperties' was extra or doesn't
work because there's a $ref to more properties. In the latter case, we
can use 'unevaluatedProperties' instead.

proc: Put thread_pid in release_task not proc_flush_pid
Oleg pointed out that in the unlikely event the kernel is compiled
with CONFIG_PROC_FS unset that release_task will now leak the pid.
Move the put_pid out of proc_flush_pid into release_task to fix this
and to guarantee I don't make that mistake again.
When possible it makes sense to keep get and put in the same function
so it can easily been seen how they pair up.

mm: check that mm is still valid in madvise()
IORING_OP_MADVISE can end up basically doing mprotect() on the VM of
another process, which means that it can race with our crazy core dump
handling which accesses the VM state without holding the mmap_sem
(because it incorrectly thinks that it is the final user).
This is clearly a core dumping problem, but we've never fixed it the
right way, and instead have the notion of "check that the mm is still
ok" using mmget_still_valid() after getting the mmap_sem for writing in
any situation where we're not the original VM thread.
See commit
04f5866e41fb ("coredump: fix race condition between
mmget_not_zero()/get_task_mm() and core dumping") for more background on
this whole mmget_still_valid() thing. You might want to have a barf bag
handy when you do.
We're discussing just fixing this properly in the only remaining core
dumping routines. But even if we do that, let's make do_madvise() do
the right thing, and then when we fix core dumping, we can remove all
these mmget_still_valid() checks.
